Research interests

My research interests are in the general area of medical robotics modeling, design, and control with an emphasis on robots’ interaction with compliant environments. In particular, I am interested in collision detection, estimation of constraint geometry, force feedback and control, telemanipulation of high-degree-of-freedoms non-serial systems, autonomous or semi-guided exploration, image guidance, probabilistic filtering, estimation, and sensor fusion.
